How to get smooth skin without the pain?
Written by admin on February 4th, 2009
syndeyblah asked:
Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how to get smooth skin (no, not in private parts, just the normal areas like legs) without pain? Because I want silky smooth skin, but without electrolysis. However, I have also wondered if those at-home electrolysis (like by sharper image) work, and if anyone has had experience please tell me! So I just want silky smooth skin, and preferably where it will be permanent or only where I’ll have to shave once a week. But without the pain of waxing, plucking, or using a razor! Any answers would help, thanks.

Try the new Aveeno Positively Smooth Shave products.
“This creamy shave gel helps you shave less often, while helping to prevent shaving irritation, so your skin stays softer, smoother longer. It’s unique formula with natural soy and rich emollients immediately softens and conditions hair, making it easier for you to get a closer shave so you can shave less often with continued use. The clean-rinsing formula hydrates, moisturizes, and soothes skin to help prevent nicks, cuts, and even razor bumps. And, it’s even gentle enough for sensitive skin.”
You might also make sure that you’re exfoliating well. That helps to keep your skin smooth and free of ingrown hairs which can create red bumps that may or may not be irritated.
The at-home electrolysis is not very effective and to do your legs would take forever and a day. Have you considered waxing? If done properly, there should be a minimum of pain, 4-6 weeks free of hair and it also helps to exfoliate though you want to exfoliate before your waxing procedure. If you’re unsure or uncomfortable about pain, talk to a reputable esthetician about your concerns. Often there are topical preparations that can numb the skin, however, wide use over a large portion of the body can be dangerous if not used properly or if inappropriate topical analgesics are used.
You can also speak with your dermatologist about laser therapy for hair removal. It’s painless but does require a high $$$ commitment and more than one treatment may be needed.
Hope I was able to give you at least a few options you hadn’t thought of in a wide variety of price ranges. Good luck!

Virgin coconut oil.
It’s natural, cheap and works very well on me.
Mix groundnut powder, top layer of the milk, turmeric and rose essence(optional). apply it. leave for 10 minutes. then wash off. use a home made scrub- (dry rose petals, orange peel, neem leaves- powder them). while washing off the paste, use this scrub.
do it daily. (twice daily- if possible)
and I’m sure it’ll make the skin smooth and gives a glossy finish.
scrub- removes dirt.
turmeric prevents body hair growth. neem has bacteristatic effect.
rose gives fragrance.
top layer of milk gives a smooth and glossy finish.
exfoliate first to remove dry, flaky skin. then a dollop of moisturizing lotion will do you perfect. =)
